#AmplifyBlackVoices–The Black-Owned Wellness Brands You Need to Check Out

Source: @kayla_seah

Though we're far from fair representation, the wellness industry includes so many amazing Black leaders and Black-owned brands. Supporting businesses or following these inspiring women are two of the many actions we can take towards racial equity, while genuinely enriching our own lives through diversity. Wellness is no longer just a practice of self-care, eating leafy greens, and working out. It needs to be, forevermore, a practice of making sure other people are OK too, and actively working on compassion and inclusivity.

When it comes to my own wellness community, this means supporting, following, recommending, and, most importantly, listening. Spiritual activist, Rachel Ricketts, gave an amazing explanation of how the wellness industry needs to change in 2020. Let's all follow her lead.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it's one I plan to keep growing (so please share more recommendations!). And now, you've heard enough of my voice. Take the time to listen to others':
